Lumina Luxe developed the process to apply and bake polymer clay to real oyster shells. Lumina Luxe is the original polymer clay shell company.

How to Care for Polymer Clay?

Polymer clay is a durable, slightly flexible, and lightweight material, but may be scratched or broken by hitting hard surfaces/materials and rough handling. We recommend avoiding exposure to water, makeup, hair care, deodorant, perfume, perspiration, and other liquids & removal of jewelry prior to sleeping, bathing, swimming, and exercising. Light debris like makeup may be removed with a cotton swab dipped in water or rubbing alcohol.

Polymer clay when baked on shells is durable and may be cleaned by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. Do not soak or expose to food or liquid.

Is Polymer Clay Food Safe?

No. Polymer clay is not food safe. Lumina Luxe items should not be used to store or serve any food or beverages.

Will I receive the item photographed on the website?

Every pair of earrings and shell jewelry or decor is handcrafted with love. While we make every effort to photograph accurately, minor variations in earrings may occur. Shell items are individually photographed.

What is the best way to contact Lumina Luxe?

The best way is to send us a message here. Please do not message Lumina Luxe on Instagram regarding specific orders or products as those may be lost due to volume of responses.

Where do you ship to?

At this time we are only shipping to the US and Canada.

How do you ship?

All domestic orders are shipped USPS. We aim to ship by next business day on all orders but processing may take up to three days. Please allow an additional 2-3 days for priority mail and 5-7 days on first class mail, but transit times are not guaranteed. If you require faster delivery, please contact us for additional shipping options.

Canadian shipping options are USPS first class or priority mail or DHL Express. Buyer pays shipping plus any customs due.

Can I track my order?

Yes, a tracking number will be provided once an order has shipped. According to USPS, we must wait 45 days for domestic orders before filing a claim for the lost package. International orders must wait 90 days before filing a claim. It is common for packages to stop tracking while your item is processing through customs. Please email us if you have not seen any movement on the order within this timeframe.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

All items are final sale. No returns. Exchanges are not permitted unless an item arrives damaged. Please contact us immediately if there is a problem with your order upon receipt.

If a product arrives damaged, Lumina Luxe will replace or refund you the price based on availability. Do not test the flexibility of your earrings as this may cause them to break.

Do you accept Bulk or Custom Orders?

No custom orders for individual items, but if you are interested in bulk orders of jewelry or shell decor items or are interested in carrying Lumina Luxe items in your retail establishment, we'd love to hear from you.

What happens to an item with an incomplete or incorrect address?

We will contact you if we cannot ship to the address provided due to an incomplete address. In most cases we can reship quickly if we receive a return due to an incorrect address after reshipment fees have been paid. Please double check your shipping address prior to placing your order.

What if it says my package was delivered but I never received it?

We are not responsible for lost packages. You will need to contact your local postal service for further information regarding your package. Please reach out to us regarding filing a lost package claim with the appropriate postal service. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
